LEWELLING VETERINARY CLINIC

The Project includes a 6,500 square foot single-story building plus grounds for use as a pet hospital. The facility, designed by Ricky G. Mason, AIA and Collaborative Design Architects, provides health care, boarding, grooming and retail services in an interior environment created to ensure the pets and their owners have a pleasant and comfortable experience. The design parti is composed of two intersecting squares used to easily define and separate public from back-of-house private space. The interior design features stained concrete floors, expansive windows in the public areas and vaulted, up-lit ceilings to imply a casual rather than clinical ambiance to the user. The exterior design uses two pyramid shapes roof elements to mimic the plan shapes of the interior parti. The metal roofs with broad overhangs provide horizontal accents and give proportion to the building mass and the entry wall is carved away to easily identify the primary building entrance.
