The Project is the first phase of a multi-phase campus modernization to be constructed with bond financing. To date the project scope includes design and construction of a covered outdoor patio used for student lunches and informal outdoor gatherings and classes; painting of all campus buildings; renovation of auto shop and wrestling practice room for use as fully wired computer lab; and addition of portable classrooms to immediately facilitate conformance to State requirements for class size reduction. Ricky G. Mason, AIA in association with Collaborative Design Architects designed and coordinated each of these projects with the San Leandro Unified School District Board, Assistant Superintendent of Business, school Principal and Administrative Staff, Parent focus groups and Office of the State Architect.
