POLICE SERVICE CENTER INTERIOR TENANT IMPROVEMENTS

The Project is the second phase of City’s master plan to locate City Hall and public services on a single campus style site at Laguna Springs Drive and includes interior improvements to one-half of a 25 ksf single-story building shell previously approved for use as professional office along with the adjacent building used for City Hall and two other vacant building pads. The Project includes office work space for the entire City police force with dispatch and jail facilities provided by County Sheriff Department at a separate location. The interior parti designed by Ricky G. Mason, AIA for Collaborative Design Architects uses a double loaded closed loop circulation plan to organize the 12.5 ksf space and locate offices, meeting and conferencing rooms, lounge and exercise rooms for police chief and assistant chief, administrative staff, detectives and patrol officers along the outside perimeter and locate holding and volunteer work spaces, storage rooms, locker, shower and toilet rooms and equipment rooms in the center. Perimeter offices adjacent to open office areas include interior window walls to provide natural light to the plan interior. The circulation provides police with separate secure entrance at one end and provides public entrance easily identifiable and accessible from the building central lobby at the opposite end. The scope of work includes wall / ceiling frame and finish, interior doors / windows, casework, countertops, floor coverings, hvac, electrical and fixtures, furnishings and equipment.
