CIVIC CENTER RETROFIT RENOVATION EXPANSION – Police Public Safety Building

The Project includes seismic retrofit and renovation of the basement and two-story 20,000 sf essential services facility Public Safety Building and events plaza used as police command and dispatch center, jail, administrative offices and firing range and City disaster preparedness command center. The design includes interior and exterior architectural and structural upgrades to remodel the building floor area, seismically strengthen structural foundation and framing and replace infrastructure to conform to applicable codes and essential service facility requirements. The interior remodel includes floor plan renovations to expand jail facilities and evidence storage; add women’s locker facilities and reconfigure the administrative offices to achieve a more efficient workflow. The scope also included life safety, handicap accessibility, energy conservation and mechanical, plumbing, electrical and data communication infrastructure improvements.
